SME for QMS, OOS/OOT investigations and Pharmacopoeia
Emmet started his career at Broughton in 2007 as an Analytical Chemist having completed a degree in Forensic and Analytical Science at the University of Huddersfield. As an Analytical Chemist, Emmet gained experience in the testing of solid dose medicines including various chromatographic techniques (HPLC, GC). Having gained a passion for data verification, Emmet joined the quality team in 2011 as a Quality and Compliance Supervisor ensuring the companies’ compliance to GMP and other regulations. Building on his experience as an Analyst, Emmet became the subject matter expert for OOS/OOT investigations as well as for all things pharmacopoeia. In 2017 Emmet took on the role of Quality Manager, reporting to the Quality Director. He is responsible for a team of QA Officers and the day to day running of the Quality Team and maintenance of the quality management system including generation of quality metrics and quality improvement plans.
